AAXA Technologies M1 Ultimate X Micro Projector
With a native resolution of 800 x 600 and 75 lumens, the M1 Ultimate X Micro Projector from AAXA Technologies has an advanced light engine that eliminates rainbow issues by removing the color wheel and is optically enhanced to provide improved color quality, sharpness, and uniformity over other projectors in its class.
The M1 Ultimate X Micro is built for multimedia support. To begin with it has its own multimedia player and a removable 2GB SD card, which can be used for mass storage purposes. Connectivity that includes USB, SD card slot, composite A/V and a VGA input ensures that you can display games, view presentations and share videos and photos with friends or colleagues. The unit gobbles up media, supporting a wide range of formats and codecs including DivX. Audio is provided by a built-in 1W speaker system but you can use the headphone / audio output for an external speaker if you need more volume.

I use this projector to watch movies (DVD player connected via the composite video connection) while camping and at home. The picture looks great, and it's bright enough that it can be seen even with some ambient light. I've been able to get a 90 inch (measured diagonally) picture that looks great (I haven't tried to go bigger than that since the sheet I'm using to project on is only that big). I haven't tried the internal speaker; I hook up the speaker bar I have to the headphone output and it sounds great. I also called AAXA once before buying to ask some technical questions, and once after I received the product and both people I talked to were very helpful and knowledgeable.[...]

A really amazing projector, in spite of its small size and price. What a great value. I was a little concerned about excess fan noise before my purchase, but am pleased to report that I hardly notice it. I use it mostly to project on the ceiling above my bed. The picture is crisp and clear, color is excellent to my eyes. I chose this model after studying the pros and cons of many others. I like the metal case. The technique of using the on board controls was a learning experience, however, once set up, there's no need to keep making adjustments. The included tripod is too wimpy for this projector.

This is an excellent little projector. The hardware works great. My only real complaint is with the software of the media player. It took many days of troubleshooting until I had things working the way I want, and I have to run conversion programs on any DVD movies before I can put them on an SD card and play them on the projector without hooking it up to another device. But many projectors out there don't even have a media player, so that really isn't too huge of a downside. It's really a useful and powerful little device.

I often draw from photographs for section of my artworks. I have been using an opaque projector before this, which requires a printed image. This projector allows me more freedom as it connects straight to my computer. And the brightness and resolution are perfect.

I've been shopping for a portable projector for quite a while and have been waiting for prices to come down. While I would love to have the M2, after looking at the M1 and M2 side by side, I realized the M1 was pretty close to the M2 sans HDMI. Since I'm not relying on any devices that use HDMI, the M1 suited me just fine. It's bright enough to be a home theater projector and sharing pictures has been pretty easy. The price of this projector is pretty unbeatable at the moment.

We love our Wii and have always been looking for better ways to improve our wiiperience. I read online some time ago that some people were using AAXA's P2 for more life size gaming so since the M1 is brighter than the P2, we figured if they liked it back then, we'd love it this time then. We're definitely glad the M1 did not disappoint. Although it's not quite as large as we were hoping for, it definitely brought our gaming experience to another level which is why this would be 4 star is getting 5, the rating isn't purely about the projector only.

I had originally purchased an earlier version of the M1 projector, it was great but then after numerous file transfers, somehow the memory got corrupted. AAXA informed me of this new release and I decided to give it another shot since this model supposedly is less likely to have that problem. Not only am I impressed with the new aluminum casing with touch buttons but the old M1 opticals were pretty good, and this one is even better! This version also comes with a handy tripod mount, AAXA really knocked it out of the park with this one, try it, you'll be glad you did!

My wife wanted a TV so we could watch movies and the kids could play games in our cabin, but there's not much room. A projector and a portable screen seemed the perfect solution. Thisu projector is bright enough-- barely-- for a 4' screen when it's dark, and OK for games during the day on a much smaller screen. Hint: buy an old portable screen (the kind everybody used to have for showing their slides). I got one, in excellent condition, at a flea market, for [$]... much better than a white wall or sheet.

I'm a real estate agent, we travel a lot. Before I discovered this projector, I'd have to slide my laptop around to show people homes and other pictures. Most of my laptops would lose the rubber legs due to all this sliding. I was pretty excited when them picos came out except they were always so weak. The price of this M1 Ultimate-X is the same price as the picos when they first came out but wayyyy brighter! Most of the picos couldn't connect to a computer either but this M1 can! Now I can just sit there and go thru photos at least 3x faster than before and get more business done!
