- Archival Safe - No PVC
- Plastic enclosures manufactured from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are not recommended for archival photographic storage. This plastic, often referred to as "vinyl", is not as stable as some other plastics. It can contain volatile plasticizers acid as it deteriorates.
- Rip Resistant Seals
- A stitched sealing method that allows each seal to work independently to resist tearing, unlike straight-line that continue to separate completely once the rip begins. In addition, stitched sealing increases the airflow between pockets and therefore further protects against ferrotyping, moisture.
- Easy Contact Prints
- By placing a loaded file page (negatives must remain emulsion side down) directly on top of the printing paper, it is possible to make sharp contact prints as well as enlargements for testing and proofing purposes.

For me, these are the "classics" for negatives cut into strips of five images.
I've bought OTHER brands which have sleeves just barely too narrow to squeeze the film in without really forcing it (and maybe scratching it). What were they thinking???
But the Clear-File pages work just fine. Plus the material is clear enough to make it easy to examine the negs on a light table without removing them from the page. That's nice.

I love the fact that the label area is on the top vs. the side, that way when you make contact prints you can include it in your print. It is a lot easier to slide your negatives into the slots than others that I've had. Extremely clear which is great when trying to figure out if the images are foggy or not. Excellent price as well!
