The Varizoom VZ-TOC-DX1-K Single-channel Wireless Follow Focus consists of a hand held controller/transmitter, a lens drive motor, a single-channel receiver, a universal gear set and a battery charger.

The handheld controller unit, with a slider and a fluid-drag hand knob, allows you to wirelessly control camera lenses from a distance over 1000' (304.8 m). You can control calibration, motor power, motor smoothing, and the lens slider range for precise focus control. Equipped with backlit marking strips and LCD screen, the handheld unit allows you to view the lens setting even in low-light conditions. The transmitter unit is powered by a Canon BP 927-945 Li-Ion rechargeable battery.

A single-channel receiver with an integrated swiveling connection cable is connected to the lens drive motor. Electromechanical design of the self-calibrating motor system ensures precise adjustment of focusing. The motor system can be manually calibrated for lenses with infinite spin focus rings. You can mount the motors vertically or horizontally using a dovetail clamp (not included) and attach to the standard 15 mm or 19 mm rods. The motor comes with a full set of industry-standard gears to fit any broadcast or cinema lens. The gears can be attached to either side of the motor drive hub, thus ensuring enhanced flexibility.

In addition to a 2-port battery charger (2200 mAh), the kit comes with a water-proof custom hard case with a pressure valve that maintains optimum pressure inside the case. The single-channel unit can be upgraded to a 2 or 3-channel system.
