The GXT5000 Military-Grade Communication Radio from Midland is designed to keep you in touch with your party in practically any conditions. The radio has a durable cast aluminum frame and is built to meet MIL-STD-810 C, D, E, and F standards. It is also IP67 rated to be water, shock, and dust proof for ultimate reliability.
The radio has 22 GMRS-FRS channels an a wireless range of up to 36 miles. It has 121 privacy codes, giving you a total of 2662 channel options to make sure your conversation stays private. The radio has a bright backlit LCD display for use during the day or night. An SOS siren lets you send distress/locator signals in emergency situations.
Mic and headphone jacks make it easy to connect a headset for hands-free use. To further facilitate hands-free use, there are also 9 levels of eVOX voice activation. The radio operates on a rechargeable ultra-high capacity Li-ion battery pack and can be recharged with the included drop-in charger.

We use these exclusively for communication in a 20,000sqft warehouse stocked full of merchandise. Signal is clear (unlike our old Motorolas) and the warehouse guys love 'em for their toughness.
