The VAIO Z2 VPCZ214GX/B 13.1" Notebook Computer from Sony is a compact notebook computer. The system features a 13.1" LCD display with a LED backlight, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 1600 x 900 resolution. An external sheet battery is included for extended cord-free operation.
It is rife with wireless options -- dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR are standard issue. The VAIO Z2 also sports a webcam and integrated microphone.
For those times when you'd like to watch content on a larger screen, the VAIO supports Intel's Wireless Display technology, which allows you to connect to an HDTV wirelessly. You'll need the optional Netgear Push2TV accessory to utilize this technology. As an alternative, it also features built-in VGA and HDMI ports for establishing a wired connection to larger displays.
The computer is powered by a dual-core 2.7GHz Intel Core i7-2620M CPU, which can be overclocked to 3.4GHz thanks to Intel Turbo Boost. It is loaded with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of solid state storage, and integrated Intel GMA HD 3000 graphics. Windows 7 Professional with Service Pack 1 (64-bit) is the installed operating system.
