Digieffects' Blockade Effect for Damage v2 simulates low fidelity camera feeds as are available from a cell phone or a PDA. You can recreate effects that mirror video recording from low quality cameras and cell phones using Blockade.
Simulating low color fidelity rectangular quadrants in a video is easy with Blockade, as it allows complete customization of Color Inaccuracy, Block Size, Speed, and Temporal Frame Stuttering. You can manipulate 6 different parameters from within Blockade which can be directly accessed from the Damage software UI.
You can adjust the Freeze parameter to make the video clip randomly hang on a frame recreating the effect of a possible interruption in data transmission. You can adjust the Duration, Recurrence, and the Duration Variance of the Freeze parameter. With Stutter, you can make the video clip jump back as if trying to seek a small bit of data again, or make the clip jump ahead simulating data loss. Adjustments are possible for the Duration, Recurrence, and the Duration Variance for the Stutter parameter.
You can control the temporal properties of the blocks by using the Timing parameter in Blockade, which can be adjusted for its Recurrence, Duration, Duration Variance, and Speed. Size of the blocks being created in the video clips and the size of their grouping can be manipulated via the Sizing parameter. You can adjust the Block Amount, Size, Striping, Stripe Length, and the Stripe Length Variance for each block and block group. Coloring properties of Blockade effect can be adjusted via the Coloring parameter that provides many options owing to the interdependence of its parameters that include Block Color, Color Conformance, Change, Change Weight, and Transparent Blocks.
You can adjust the alpha properties of the clip via the Alpha handling parameter that provides you with options such as Complete, Partial, and No Preservation of the alpha properties. With support for AutoAnimate, you can easily preview your Blockade effect without rendering. The Blockade Effect for Damage v2 is compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems.
