DigiEffects Glow Effect for Delirium v2 Special Effects Package generates beautiful blooms and glowing regions. Glow effect is applied by extracting a region of the source layer, blooming it, and then re-compositing it over the original. It enables you to choose the options to build the glow by selecting the glow layer control that also specifies which layer to base the glow.

You can select the image region to glow by match color key or channel matte methods. Match color key method uses color keying to define the image region to glow. In the Channel Matte method a channel can be used with levels to pull a precise region from an image. Both these methods are enabled with Match Color, Tolerance, and Feather controls. The Input Black and Input White function creates contrast when their values are moved closer together while the darkness and brightness of the channel can be limited with the help of Output Black and Output White functions respectively.

The Uniform Feather function ensures mask feathering will be equal in the horizontal and vertical directions and by turning this function off, you can control the feathering amount independently on the X and Y axes. The Feather function controls the size of the feathering in pixels. The Opacity mode controls the effect of mask on matte. You can use the Layer Masks to control the areas of image where the glow is applied. The mask group is only active when a valid path is chosen and the paths are closed.

By enabling the Colorize function, you can tint or colorize the glow effect by using the original input colors of the Glow layer or from the available Color controls. The Preserve Transparency mode preserves the alpha channel of the original layer and thus limits the glow region’s own alpha channel, which may extend beyond the edges of the original alpha. The Composite mode is the final mode to apply the glow over the original layer.
