The Korg Monotribe Analog Ribbon Station incorporates the analog synthesis used in the popular Korg Monotron keyboard, and fuses it with Korg Electribe sequencing, real-time ribbon control and 3-part analog drum sequencing. Its battery (or optional AC) powering, built-in speaker, audio inputs and outputs, and palm-sized design make it a viable analog production tool for producers, musicians and DJs on-the-go. There are Sync in and Out jacks for synchronized control over multiple units, and a full gamut of analog controls for manipulating analog sounds in real-time.

Comments about Korg Monotribe Analog Ribbon Station:
Great little piece of kit that makes screaming monophonic analog lines against a simple set of percussion sounds. Some basic MIDI implementation and ability to tune the drums (eg. decay on the kick) would make this a 5/5 product, but otherwise it is great and has an excellent price.

Comments about Korg Monotribe Analog Ribbon Station:
The tribe offers the same hot synth sounds of the tron, but it also has the same 'pop' at the onset of each sound. The simplicity of the interface makes sequencing easy to learn and understand, and can be fun to explore within the limits of the tribe's 16 steps. experimentation can lead to swing and tonal changes through sequences using the LFO. clockable from any external tick, the tribe can be easily synched to other equipment (even a simple gameboy, pan a step tick to the left side and synth sounds out the right). while not quite the hackable powerhouse that many had been wishing for, the tribe feels rock solid and has real booty shakin power.
