The VH197D 18.5" Widescreen LED Backlit Monitor from ASUS is a wide-screen computer monitor designed for high-performance and energy efficiency. The monitor features a VGA input port for connecting it to your computer. The monitor also has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 and a full widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9. That aspect ratio can be adjusted to 4:3, depending on whether or not you want to play games or watch movies for instance.
The display features a 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 170°/160° viewing angles, 250cd/m² brightness, and support for 16.7 million colors. The monitor's desktop stand supports tilt adjustment, and you have the option of mounting the display to a wall thanks to its standard VESA 100mm mounting pattern. It can also be secured via a standard Kensington security lock.

Don't be mislead, there are holes on the back for mounting to back mount system however, this cannot be done. The actual stock base/stand cannot be removed.
