Comments about Cinevate Inc Simplis Quick Release Plate:
I use this with the Cinevate rail system. I chose this over the Zacuto DSRL base plate system. The Cinevate system is solid as a rock, which is what I wanted. I use a Manfrotto plate which is perfect, means I don't have to swap out plates when I move to a different system.
The Zacuto system was unsteady (not solid), too tall. I could not use a Manfrotto plate, it only works with the Zacuto system parts.
This release plate pops straight up - easy to make lens changes, too. I use this with a Genus Matte Box and Redrock Follow Focus Blue.
Be aware if you use this configuration you'll need a riser for the Matte Box and works beautifully.

Comments about Cinevate Inc Simplis Quick Release Plate:
The primary use of this for me was to add a couple articulate arms and use for a small video rig. It works great for this. The constructions is top notch. I also used it to mount to a Redrock Micro rig to make it quick to swap out my DSLR from the rig. Although it is pricey I do think it is worth it.
The fact that this works similar to a still mount by allowing the camera to pop off the top it makes it easy to get the camera in and out.

I use this with my glidecam plate and rail system. I really liked that it took the plate that I have used for 5 different rigs that I've consolidated with different quick-releases/tripods.
