The 16 Channel GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 8 (4x Compute Modules, 2x PCIe Slots) from Cubix is a Series II, 5U, external PCIe expansion chassis that can support 1-4 server connections with up to 16 graphics processing units. This enables massive parallel calculations independent from the server, thus enhancing system performance and flexibility. The GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 8 allows you to add up to 16.48 teraflops of computational power to your data center.

The GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 8 is specifically certified for use with the Cubix HostEngine but you can also connect to virtually any host computer with the Cubix host interface controller (HIC). Additionally, as the GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 8 separates parallel processing from the server itself, you have more freedom to allocate server assets to other tasks.

GPU-Manager for Microsoft Windows
The Cubix GPU-Manager is an application that provides management of graphics processing unit (GPU) clusters in the GPU-Xpander Rack Mount 8 enclosure. The primary aim of GPU-Manager is asset management, health monitoring and technical support data of GPUs. The GPU-Manager runs under Microsoft Windows but does not support PCIe devices that are not GPUs. If you run Microsoft Windows on computers connected to the GPU-Xpander, you can download and install GPU-Manager by creating an account on the Cubix website.

GPU-Manager collects data from distributed GPU clusters into a central management console that lists the following:
All attached GPU-Xpander enclosures.
The GPUs within each GPU-Xpander enclosure.
GPU capabilities such as number of GPU cores, amount of RAM and many more
Operating system and software driver version numbers.

GPU-Manager continuously monitors GPU clusters and provides the following:
Link status, number of lanes and link speed for each enclosure.
Temperature, fan speed and GPU load characteristics for each GPU.
