Comments about Acer Revo RL100-U1002 Home Media Center Desktop Computer:
We love our Revo RL100-U1002 Home Media Center Desktop Computer! We live Overseas and it is a great addition to our family room where we have it connected to our 50 inch plasma and internet connection. The Windows Media Center lets us keep up with some of our favorite Prime Time Television Shows and we also use it to watch DVDs and surf the web. The wireless keypad/mouse takes some getting used to, but once you do it works like a charm. Great system for the money and convenience. Definitely recommend it!

Comments about Acer Revo RL100-U1002 Home Media Center Desktop Computer:
I bought this for my husband for Christmas. It works great so far!! I researched a few different ones but I am glad I chose this one! The only issue we have had so far is with the wireless mouse/keyboard. It looks great but does not work well. That is easily fixed by purchasing a different one though!

Comments about Acer Revo RL100-U1002 Home Media Center Desktop Computer:
Firstly, this unit LOOKS like it is supposed to be part of your home entertainment system. It's very quiet and was extremely simple to set up. Power wise, it's processor speed seems to be up to the task, playing full high def movies without any obvious drag or stutter. The remote control takes a bit of getting used to but works well for general browsing although you wouldn't want to try writing a novel on it! Overall, it's no replacement for a full powered desktop but as a home theatre unit? Awesome!

Comments about Acer Revo RL100-U1002 Home Media Center Desktop Computer:
I got my hands on a RL 100 . It's not bad. It fits nicely in an entertainment center as if it were a DVD player or cable box. The video quality and overall performance meets expectations. If your goal is to watch downloaded or streaming media, this will do nicely. I'm giving it 4 starts because the keyboard is horrible. Great Idea, but it doesn't respond well at all and almost impossible to use. Plan on buying another wireless keyboard.

Comments about Acer Revo RL100-U1002 Home Media Center Desktop Computer:
Perfect size for family/Living Room. Windows Media Center works very well with HDhomerun Prime Cable tuner. I have been able to watch and record HD channels at the same time with no problems. Key board/mouse takes a little getting us to but is fine for small tasks. I also purchased a wmc remote to work with this setup and took back the Comcast DVR. Very please and am looking to purchase another.

Comments about Acer Revo RL100-U1002 Home Media Center Desktop Computer:
I am using this unit with an additional USB TV tuner and using my TV as a monitor.
Good: It is is easy to program TV recordings using Windows 7 Media center. The output is as good as the source; HDTV is truly displayed in HD using the HDMI output port.
Not so good: I also wished to use this unit to play mp3 music through my high end optical input music system but Windows 7 only allows one output port to be active at a time. Changing the default port can be done through the control panel, but it is a complex series of steps.
Summary: I highly recommend this unit for recording TV shows and playing media through your TV system. Instructions for use of the keyboard are weak, and the keyboard requires trial and error learning. The mouse pad is not smooth to use. However, after two weeks I can now easily skip through commercials. Yea!
