You can easily transfer your projects from Media Composer to DS without any recreation owing to advanced support capabilities of DS 10.5 Software.

With a complete set of paint and compositing tools in combination with advanced editing via the included Media Composer 5 software, DS 10.5 allows you to quickly design graphics, effects, titles, and composites. You can directly edit R3D workflows via AMA (Avid Media Access) available in Media Composer 5. Support for the Red Rocket card means you can benefit from real-time playback and accelerated rendering for faster reviews and approvals.

Incorporating support for DNxHD encoding, DS 10.5 allows you to edit and finish high-resolution files that consume little bandwidth when compared to uncompressed HD. An array of paint and compositing tools, 2D and 3D effects, motion tracking, image stabilization filters, transitions, and fonts provide wide flexibility of editing and finishing of your content. Support for AVX/AVX 2 and OpenFX (OFX) plug-ins enables combining DS 10.5 with a wide variety of software.

You can speed up your editing process with real-time 2K, HD 4:4:4 RGB, and HD 4:2:2 YUV playback and integrated DPX, R3D, and ARRIRAW file support. Also integrated is support for industry-standard project formats such as AAF, EDL, and OMF. Avid DS RP (Remote Processing) System allows you to transfer all processing to a remote system, freeing up the system in use for creativity and enhanced productivity.
