The Avid DS v10 to v10.5 Software Upgrade + GenArts Sapphire Plug-ins Bundle provides an ideal combination of editing and finishing file-based media content, and high-resolution visual effects. You can upgrade your existing DS v10 software to DS v10.5 and use its enhanced features for economical and fast in-house editing and finishing requirements.
You can easily transfer your projects from Media Composer to DS without any recreation owing to advanced support capabilities of DS 10.5 Software. With a complete set of paint and compositing tools in combination with advanced editing via the included Media Composer 5 software, DS 10.5 allows you to quickly design graphics, effects, titles, and composites. You can directly edit R3D workflows via AMA (Avid Media Access) available in Media Composer 5. Support for the Red Rocket card means you can benefit from real-time playback and accelerated rendering for faster reviews and approvals.
GenArts' Sapphire Plug-ins provide an array of visual effect options via over 220 plug-ins for image processing and synthesis. You are also provided with 15 new lens flare types, improved Glare effects, and a redesigned RackDefocus effect. You can easily apply effects to titles and keys via a single click of the mouse. Also offered are on-screen widgets for visual control of parameters along with optional background and mask inputs. The Sapphire Plug-ins support AVX1 and AVX2 formats, along with the new AVX2 keyframe model.
Faster rendering is facilitated via multiprocessor support. You can also work on 16-bit image formats with the Sapphire plug-ins that are compatible with Avid Media Composer, Symphony, Xpress, Xpress Pro, NewsCutter, and DS. You can use the Sapphire Plug-ins on Windows 7, Windows Vista, and other 64-bit operating systems.
