Ilford Multigrade IV RC Deluxe MGD.44M Black & White Variable Contrast Paper (8 x 10", Pearl, 100 Sheets)
This 100 sheet box of Ilford Multigrade IV RC Deluxe MGD.44M Paper is a premium quality variable contrast, resin-coated paper with a bright white base tint. The image color remains cool-to-neutral in this paper whether viewed in daylight or fluorescent light. Multigrade IV RC Deluxe has a standard weight (190g/m2) resin coated base that is designed for use with all enlargers.
- Contrast is controlled by using Multigrade hand filters, Multigrade 600 equipment, other multigrade equipment, variable contrast enlarger heads or color enlarger heads
- Available in seven full grades of contrast, in half grade steps
- Can be processed in machine or trays

So Unlike many photographers today enjoy working with black and white film photography. This year i am taking a photography class that needed the special paper and i was looking for the best price. I came to B&H photo through my photography teacher, however, i figured it would probably be more expensive than websites such as [...]. I was wrong. I was able to get 100 sheets of excellent paper along with 5 rolls of film for the same price as the paper on [...]. This paper creates wonderful images however, at times can be more difficult to use. The hardest part is figuring out which side is the shiny side in the dark room. However, if you use it enough you will be able to figure it out. Unlike other papers though one cannot really tell my the feel but instead by the look. The other difficult think is that i have found it more difficult to create a background shade if the original negative does not have one. However, in some cases i have found this to be a plus as well. It gives an image more of a dreamy look which in many cases works to one's advantage. [...]

I used this paper during a workshop for third graders. Their prints came out well and I think, given their limited experience with photography, they got pretty solid results. As promised, a pearl finish yields cool tones; the kids' prints were a little flat but I dont think that's a result of the paper, maybe the film processing.

I bought this product for my darkroom photography class and was able to use it for one day. The three hours I used it for showed me how wonderful the product was. In fact, the product was so amazing that someone stole it from me. I then had to purchase another set. Talk about love for a product; I bought it twice :)
