I bought this drive to have a nice, bus powered, solid state, compact drive to take with me to a wedding. In that respect it fit the bill wonderfully. Unfortunately, the fastest thing I had to use it with, was FireWire 800. Unless you have Esata, I don't think this drive will provide extreme amounts of benefit over spinning platters, unless you have lots of random access. I didn't do extensive testing though.
The only real "fault" was the fact that the kit didn't come with the right size screws to secure the SSD's in the enclosure. This wasn't a huge issue for me, since I had an OLD 2.5" hdd with screws doing nothing hanging around, but might be an issue for other people.
OWC makes a fine product, and if there were an easy way to add ESATA to my iMac (10,1 21.5") I would probably still have this drive.
