Pianoteq 3 from Pianoteq is virtual piano software that features three grand pianos, while offering superb dynamics, natural resonances and unique physical parameters. Physical modeling and real-time sound generation makes the virtual instrument a natural and outstanding choice for musicians including composers, producers and keyboardists.
A new acoustic model in version 3 simulates the sound radiation of the soundboard and the cabinet. The model also allows for placing place up to 5 microphones anywhere around the piano with positioning aided by a graphic interface. A mixer is available for combining the microphones into 5 output channels, with the ability to adjust level and delay separately.
Pianoteq 3 offers full control over the sound source with unlimited possibilities to choose the "color" of the piano. For headphone usage, a binaural mode uses a head model to simulate the sound heard wherever the head is placed in the interface. The head can be rotated in any direction and even its size can be changed.
A set of free downloadable add-ons now includes many historical instruments - 5 pianoforte, 2 harpsichords, 3 grand pianos, 1 electro-acoustic piano, cimbalom, and bells and carillons.
