The SVGA (800 x 600) resolution InFocus IN112 Mobile DLP Projector is a lightweight and compact workhorse that can pump out 2700 lumens of brightness at a 3000:1 contrast ratio on a continuous 24/7 duty cycle. It weighs about five pounds (2.2kg) and its footprint is about the size of a sheet of US letter paper.
Thanks to its 0.55" DLP DMD imaging panel (the part that forms the image) it can crank out vivid, true-to-life pictures and they can be in the NTSC, PAL or SECAM video systems or the full gamut of high definition HD formats including 720p, 1080i and 1080p.
Not only does the TI DLP DMD account for the IN112's vibrant colors, it's a money saver too. DLP-based systems require no filters that have to be periodically cleaned and replaced, saving you time and money.
Whether you have a house full of serious TV addicts or a commercial or industrial application that requires a projector with the utmost of durability, you should seriously consider the IN112.

I purchased 2 of these projectors for use in conference rooms of a very large corporation. They are easy to use, start up and shut down very quickly, do not have overheating issues, operate quietly, and are compatible with both the Lenovo and HP laptops that people at my company use. The images are always very crisp and bright enough to project without having to dim the conference room lights. Highly recommend for any size business.

The display on this projector is very bright, which makes reading dark text on white very crisp. But the color rendering is inaccurate. This can make text on colored backgrounds (in PowerPoint) unreadable. I adjusted the color settings but could not dial in an accurate color. I did a side by side comparison with a Sanyo PLC-XD2200, which is slightly darker, but has accurate color.

I bought this mainly for the kids to watch movies at night time on the weekends. But to my surprise this thing performs great!! My living room is very bright during the day and you can see the picture very good, good enough to play video games or watch movies, which I was very shocked. The price for this is a fraction of those big name projectors, and so far out performs them by a long shot. I highly recommend to anyone, so far I haven't found any issues at ALL.

Comments about InFocus IN112 Mobile DLP Projector:
I have only occasional needs for a video projector so I didn't want to spend a lot. I still however wanted a bright picture and a versatile unit. I picked the InFocus IN112 and have been very happy with it.
There are enough inputs for most users and the 2700 lumens is very bright. Even in Ecomode the picture is much brighter than I need.
The ability to reverse the image for rear projection, and turn the image upside down for ceiling mount are also nice touches.
The unit is quiet and has a small footprint.
I wish it had a better manual than just the enclosed quick start guide, but I found the complete one, called a reference guide, on their website.
I am very happy with my purchase!

Comments about InFocus IN112 Mobile DLP Projector:
I've installed about 50 projectors in various environments (churches, schools, gyms, homes, etc). I selected this unit for a Fire Station meeting room job. Ceiling mounted and projecting on a white wall with an image area of 7 feet (horiz). Unit is plenty bright for a group of over three dozen firemen to see their training videos. Unit is connected to a DVD player and computer. Audio provided by in-ceiling mounted speakers via seperate amp. The speakers in the projector might as well not even be there, don't try to use them. This unit is a 'plain Jayne' perfect solution for a simple needs system. I've purchased several different InFocus projectors and have not had a single problem with any of them (neither have my customers).

Unless you're in for a HD projector, using the IN112 for home theater on component input is the best result per buck you can get.

We use these projectors in our classroom to project video classes to adults. The video quality is excellent for the price however the audio may need to be reenforced with external speakers. Overall we are satisfied except for the audio. I would recommend these to churches or schools that are looking for good video output that use other audio systems. Good buy for the money.

Comments about InFocus IN112 Mobile DLP Projector:
Honestly a projectors a projector, and this ones a great projector. I mean I wouldnt reccomend it to a movie theater, But i would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to watch big screen movies at home. Theres cheap projector like a $100 and theres expensive projectors $1200. Mostly anyone needs the $1200 one ive searched for like 6 months trying to find the best deal and product for its price and this is it. I use it for art small scale and large, Main thing it has a focus so every image is crystal clear, it makes noise but nothing more then a faint hum, it doesnt really have an automatic zoom but most projectors dont if you want it larger you have to move it. Great brightness, high lumens for the price, long lasting bulb and even a energy saver mode. Bottom line youre thinking about buying a projector dont want to spend too much but still want the best one you can get this is it. Buy it and enjoy!

Comments about InFocus IN112 Mobile DLP Projector:
This is a great projector for our price range and projects a bright clean image on our beige wall. It is NOT HD (and has no HDMI), but high enough resolution to look really slick with Netflix projected on the wall (and better than our old standard def TV). While lacking in HDMI, it does have S-video, standard RCA and 2 VGA inputs. With adapters you can easily hook to component video through the VGA (though software protection disallowed the use of higher resolutions for bluray disks through this method). If you are looking for a good projector to display movies or power point presentations this should fit the bill. Sound out of the projector is nothing to right home about, but you can easily hook anything to external speakers for a fuller (and louder) experience. I like the nice long warranty and that the bulb can last 6000 hours in eco-mode, which is better than the 2000 or 3000 I saw with other projectors.

We've now been using this projector for almost a month, and we love it!
We use it in our living room to watch movies and the occasional show. The picture quality is much better than our previous InFocus projector that cost 4 times more a few years ago. We were especially impressed with how bright it is during the day.
The only con I see is that it does not have DVI/HDMI connectivity. It's not a problem for us now, since we have it connected to a netbook, but we may have to look into an adapter/converter at some point. Yet, at this price, I'm not complaining. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive all-purpose projector!

Comments about InFocus IN112 Mobile DLP Projector:
The projector looks well built and so far (few days) has lived up to the expectations.
I got it for less than USD 300, so the value for the money is pretty good.
Too bad it has no HDMI connection, but again it's not designed as a Home Theater or Game projector. The only problem to me, it's a peculiar feature: the projected image is offset vertically, in respect to the axis of the projector.

Simple, easy to use projector that worked out-of-the-box. No step-up, just plug and play. I highly recommend for those of us who don't want to spend a ton of time reading through manuals and configuring settings. Picture was clear and crisp.

Comments about InFocus IN112 Mobile DLP Projector:
I have projector experience and this projector is a great deal. I thought I could low ball and got one of these 100$ projectors for my GF. It was junk. This, after days of research, I think is the best projector for it's price. It's quieter than it's rating if you don't have a heater on in the winter (temp raises fan speed) and it's on power save mode (which it always should be it's very bright and visible with the lights on). So it's basically silent form a few feet away. With that you've eliminated the reason to get a "home theater projector" At the distance you view this, unless you have 20/10 vision, you can't see pixels so you don't need a HD projector. Basically, you get a massive viewing surface for a fraction the cost of a home theater projector or big flat screen tv.. in fact... you can't even get a screen this big. Image is bright and clear. Colors are very accurate even when using composite (RCA) connection. We have a Wii hooked up to this and made a screen for 10$ using things from [@] - wireless wii bar mounts to screen which hangs from hooks when in use and stores flat against wall when not. Projector hung from ceiling in 8$ metal basket from [@]. This projector is meant for business rooms and so is very bright so it's actually more useful in an everyday space rather than a special "home theater" viewing room. Projectors are great fun, and you don't have a TV staring at you all the time when it's off. A room without a TV can be arranged much differently ! To get an actual useful projector, this IS the lowest cost one and it also is backed up with a great , in fact longest I've seen, 5 year warranty. It also has the longest bulb life tied with a few others. So, basically, I'm saying you need at least this projector on the low end for it to be legit, but also this projector outperforms much more expensive ones in areas like brightness and noise level which are much more noticeable and practical than more pixels. The specs that are not "professional" you probably won't notice and the features that are great on this projector are the features that actually matter.
