While you may not be able to tell by looking at it, the Looxcie 2 Wearable Camcorder is actually a video recorder that fits over your ear and lets you record anything you see, share video clips with friends, and even doubles as a Bluetooth headset -- meanwhile weighing less than an ounce, and measuring 3 inches long. In fact, its petite size is what sets it apart from its counterpart, the original Looxcie. It features the same battery capacity, video capture and sharing capabilities, but weighs about 20 percent less and is almost half the size of this original model.
You wear this unique camcorder over your ear to record video of everything you see, letting you capture and share life as you see it in full 480p video at 30 fps. Then, you can instantly email clips or post them to Facebook, YouTube, or Twitter. Designed for seamless pairing with an iPhone or compatible Android phone, the Looxcie 2 is compatible with three mobile apps -- LooxcieCam, Looxcie Moments and LooxcieLive. These make it possible for you to record video and upload it to your phone or computer, as well as share short clips via social media sites and email when you're on the go.
You can capture up to five hours of video and create and save hundreds of instant clips from this video to the internal flash storage. Since the Looxcie 2 doubles as a Bluetooth headset, that's one less device you have to carry around in your bag. When you answer calls while capturing video, the unit automatically mutes the audio on the video to keep your calls private. Additional features include interchangeable earbuds, flexible positioning options for your right or left side, active noise cancellation and talk time of up to 10 hours.
