The Velbon GEO POD N74 4-Section Carbon Fiber / Basalt Monopod proves that less sometimes really is more: it's two legs short of a tripod, but you get more speed in setting up shots, more room in your camera bag for lenses, accessories, etc., and more flexibility in terms of where you can set up shots.
Made of a composite of basalt and carbon fiber for lightweight strength and rigidity, this 4-section camera support weighs just 1.37 lb. Twist locks free and secure the sections very quickly, and they descend smoothly and speedily thanks to spiral-etched surfaces. The GEO POD N74 extends from a carry-on-friendly 21.5" to a working height of 66.9". The attached hand strap and the rubber foot provide added security for your supported camera.
