The Toshiba RS485 Camera Controller is designed to perform camera call-up, PTZ controlling, programming, sequencing, and auto touring of cameras. You can use this controller as a stand-alone device or as a serial port for connection to a PC, making it an interface for user application software.
A menu-driven user configuration and 2-axis variable speed joystick control helps easy operation of the controller. In addition to an LCD display, the unit features a waterproof numeric keypad and camera function keys.
When the controller is used in conjunction with a multiplexer, you can monitor multiple cameras (32 multiplexer channel support) using a single button. The camera controller supports single-user and multi-unit remote applications when it is directly connected to another unit.
You can control up to 99 pan / tilts with an operating distance up to 4000’ (1219 m) on 24 AWG wire. Being compatible with Toshiba P, the controller is also adaptable to Videolarm VL422, Sensormatic 422, Pelco P, Pelco D, and Kalatel protocols.
