The Intel 40GB 2.5" mSATA MLC 310 Series Solid State Drive, with 34nm NAND flash memory and 10-channel controller architecture, provides enhanced performance and reliability. Featuring a lightweight (less than 0.02 lb / 10 grams) and compact (less than 0.19" / 4.85 mm thick) design, it can be easily integrated in to dual-drive storage for traditional embedded platforms as well as single-drive systems such as netbooks, tablets, and other hand-held devices. It offers read speeds of up to 170 MB/s and write speed of up to 35 MB/s, and supports SATA signals over a PCI Express (PCIe) mini-connector. The small factor allows it to be easily connected to an existing mSATA port on a PC enabling the SSD to perform as a boot drive.
With support for S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) commands, shock resistance capability of up to 1500G, and a MTBF of 1.2 million hours, the 310 2.5" mSATA MLC Solid State Drive provides enhanced reliability. It features an interface offering SATA 1.5 Gb/s and 3 Gb/s compatibility. With no moving parts, the SSD offers quiet and reliable operation.
