The 2.5" (6.35 cm) form factor helps provide drop-in compatibility with standard HDD (Hard Disk Drives). The Intel SSD Toolbox with Intel Solid State Drive Optimizer features the ATA Data Set Management Command (Trim Attribute), and a set of management, information, and diagnostic tools that help improve performance.
