The Yamaha BD-S671 Blu-ray Disc Player - Black is an exceptional Blu-ray disc player that supports the immersive, wraparound visuals of the Blu-ray 3D format. It supports full HD 1080p resolution at 24 Hz for a more cinematic picture quality. You'll also be able to enjoy BD Live movie extras like filmmaker chats and commentary, interactive quizzes and more as well as the BONUSVIEW picture-in-picture function.
If you have a subscription-based Netflix account, you're in luck -- you can instantly stream movies and TV shows using your new BD-S671. It also supports YouTube Leanback so you can see Internet video clips on the big screen. Additional features include playback for HD audio formats, dual USB ports, a DLNA certification, and seamless interoperation with SCENE functionality via HDMI CEC. Plus, after a quick download from the Apple App Store, you'll be able to kick back and control everything right from your iPhone.

This Yamaha BDS-671 blue ray player is mid to high end qualaity at mid price! I was going to buy the Panasonic 310 but after having this demo'd, I purchased this instantly. It was also awarded product of the year blur ray player by the high end excellent Australian Sound Majic, and for good reason. It also has superb upconversion of DVD. I coudldn't be happier.

While I am far from a true audiophile, I stick to manufacturers who have solid reputations in the AV field like Yamaha. My primary concern was build quality and audio/video performance. I liked the units more traditional appearance and the inclusion of both coaxial and optical outputs. It seems solid, operates smoothly, loads relatively quickly and so far has played everything I've put in it. The B&H price was what made me pull the trigger.
