The Crumpler Karachi Outpost - Medium (Black / Gunmetal) is a camera/laptop backpack. It features a tough 1,000D / Denier Cordura nylon exterior designed to weather the elements and keep your equipment dry. 300D Rip-stop lining, flamed polypropylene webbing and bonded nylon thread on all stress points help make this a truly tough, durable pack. Its main zipper opening is in the rear, so that, on location, you place the bag front-side down to access your gear - meaning the bag's harness, back pad - and you - all stay cleaner. Both the padded main compartment and padded laptop compartment are fully configurable and removable, so you can take only what you need at any given time. The laptop compartment boasts the capacity for a 15" (38.1 cm) laptop and 6-pocket organizer. The Karachi features wide, ergonomic, EVA foam-filled, fully adjustable harness straps, combined with chest and waist belts to distribute weight evenly across your body. On-location shoots will never be a pain in the neck again! There's also a durable, cushioned carry handle. Air Mesh padding and venting channels help keep you cool while you carry your stuff. The included tripod holder is another bonus.

i bought this for the trip my partner and i are taking later in the year it fits all my camera stuff every thing i need for my laptop and i can even attach my tripod to the bag so its all in one easy to carry location. a few small things bother me not everything is velcro-friendly and the shelves could be a little more customisable but still a fantastic bag. Aussie made and life time warranty

Comments about Crumpler Karachi Outpost - Medium (Black / Gunmetal):
This bag is perfect because it is tough and durable, water proof, holds all of my gear, and my 15.4" MacBook Pro. When i was at the [@] the other day I actually tried to put a 17" MacBook Pro into the removable laptop insert and it fit like a glove too!

Comments about Crumpler Karachi Outpost - Medium (Black / Gunmetal):
I switched over to Crumpler's backpack because I was using shoulder-slings before. The shoulder-slings would dig into your shoulder after a while. Since this is a backpack, there's 2 straps instead of one and it makes it more comfortable especially when you have over 10lbs of equipment. I mostly use this for travel. The construction is good, but I felt like they could of maximized the space a little to fit more things. The laptop case is detachable, but it's also where the pockets are to put your memory cards, filters, etc. The laptop case is a bit bulky and takes up space that could of been used to hold more equipment. Obviously, you probably wouldn't be carrying your laptop everywhere. I also felt like they should of had a place to hold water bottles. The side pockets are zippered, so I feel like that's more for a place to put other types of equipment like a rag or your cell phone, etc. Overall, it's a well-made backpack, but I think there's some improvements that needs to be done.
