Olympus VN-7200 Digital Voice Recorder
The Olympus VN-7200 Digital Voice Recorder affords hundreds of hours of recording time on its 2GB of integrated flash storage. It offers three recording modes that afford LP, SP and HQ high-quality recording. Plus, it has Voice Activation, which means you can start and stop the recording with the sound of your voice. The digital recorder also provides index marks for specifying a particular part in a recording. When you're ready to listen back, the VN-7200 supports two different playback modes. With slow and fast playback, you can hear your recordings played back at 25% slower or 50% faster rate than normal. The recorder is great for students or professionals, and when you consider the 1151 hours of recording time afforded in the LP mode - it's hard to find anyone who wouldn't enjoy such economy of space and intelligent use of flash storage.

I've used Olympus digital recorders for many years to keep me from having to rely on a very faulty memory. I carry the recorder with me at all times and, when I need to remember something, I just pop out the recorder, record a brief reminder message, and put it away. Then, each morning, I transcribe the "memories" into my day's task list or put them in my calendar or whatever.
