The Cullmann Magic 4-Section Aluminum Tripod with CB6.3 Ball Head performs a few different tricks as it supports cameras and camcorders up to 6.6 lb. First, there's the contortionist act it pulls when you fold it down. The Magic folds completely flat, and measures just 16" (including its head) when contracted. Second, there's a transformation from tripod to monopod when you unscrew the marked leg and attach it to the center column. Finally, the Magic allows you to perform some sleight of hand: Just rotate the top twist lock a quarter-turn to secure in place all of a leg's sections.
As for the rest of the Magic, its operation might be more conventional, but it certainly looks good while doing it – anodized, as it is, to a matte black finish with stylish red accents. The Magic comes with Cullmann's CB6.3 ball head, which features a single spring-loaded tightening handle for controlling pan and tilt movements. The quick-release assembly features a dual-locking mechanism for securing the plate.
Perfect for travel at only 2.9 lb and able to slide easily into backpacks and carry-on luggage, the tripod reaches a maximum height of 53", but as a monopod, the center column, head & leg combine to extend up to 58.5".

Comments about Cullmann Magic 4-Section Aluminum Tripod with CB6.3 Ball Head:
The Cullman Magic Tripod is as described without any question. Everything delivered as promised. The quality was decent and easy to use.
I purchased with the intent to use as a travel tripod/monopod with my Canon 20D and 50D. While it will support both of the cameras at it's fully extended height, it does not do so with much assurance. I set the tripod up in under a minute and installed my 50D at the full extension height in my office. Unfortunately the camera took a very long time to stop swaying. I'm sure with a point and shoot camera this would be minimal but I was not willing to risk it for my cameras and photos. I had also hoped to use the tripod for some landscape photography "off the beaten path" but the center of gravity is very high in relation to the legs footprint.
I think this tripod kit is perfect for traveling and photographing in city areas. I took a chance that it would be a little sturdier than it turned out and I would be able to use on trail. I do not want to give a poor rating because it did not fit my needs. The only reason I am giving it four stars is because of the amount of swaying. The camera is well under the weight limits of the tripod but the metal that makes it soo light may just be too light weight to stay stable at full height.

Comments about Cullmann Magic 4-Section Aluminum Tripod with CB6.3 Ball Head:
The Cullmann Magic 4 tripod is very compact, light and folded flat but I had a lot of gripes with it. The legs on are aluminum but the joints to center post are plastic and really aren't sturdy. With minimal use the joint broke on one of the legs and kept coming off. I was looking forward to having a small and good tripod but without the legs being of sturdier construction this product is really not useable.
