A B&W 37mm #102 Neutral Density 0.6 Glass filter has several uses and offers the possibility to achieve otherwise unachievable results. ND filters appear grey and reduce the amount of light reaching the film. They have no effect on color balance.

Comments about B+W 37mm #102 Neutral Density (ND) 0.6 Glass Filter:
I've bought this filter for my camcorder Canon HF100 intending to use it in bright light. The need for the filter was not so high as I expected, however, because the camera has a decent built-in one.
Glass of this filter has good coating of pale yellow colour. I don't know if it is a multicoating or not but it looks better than Hoya HMC, for instance, with roughly the same reflectance and a better colour tint.
This is my first B+W filter as I had no choice here. And it is my first filter that had stuck right after its first screwing in! It required considerable effort to detach the filter (not everyone would cope) and there were marks and filings left on the camera filter thread. The filter itself feels much heavier than others so it is quite probable its mount is made from bronze but in my opinion there is no point to buy bronze mount filters if they turn out to be worse than aluminium mount ones!
Thus 1/5 star for mount and +1 star for coating.
