Billingham really are for the photographer who has everything, offering a level of boutique quality that is so good it's almost unnecessary. While most camera bags are stout and functional, a Billingham is also a thing of beauty, with leather trim, brass and stainless fittings and quality stitching. It's also a very solid camera bag. The fittings, zippers and fasteners will probably outlast the owner and it has a lots of handy pockets for all those accessories photographers invariably collect. This is the ideal size for a rangefinder or compact system as it has room for extra lenses, filters and a small flash. I mangage to get an X100, lens hood, polarizer, light meter, mini tripod, small reflector, grey card, cleaning kit, cable release, spare battery and cards in it. The only thing I don't like about it (and it's a minor quibble) is the closure on the main flap. It's a leather strap that fixes on a brass keyed toggle kind of arrangement. It's not very efficient and is probably there as a matter or aesthetics, not function. A press-stud would be far more practical. Having said that, this is a very high quality item that will last a lifetime, but cheap it ain't - quality like this costs.
