The PVM-14M2U 13", 4:3 aspect, multi-system color production monitor features Sony's HR Trinitron CRT. HR Trinitron technology enables the monitor to acheive over 600 lines of resolution. P-22 phosphors are used for accurate color reproduction. A wide range of signal inputs are available for both analog and digital sources. Advanced operational functions are built-in for easy set-up and picture matching.

: • Picture Quality

: • Standard P-22 phosphors are used to achieve precise color reproduction.

: • Sony's Dark Tint CRT provides the PVM-14M2U with high contrast images.

: • Luminance and chrominance separation is attained with an NTSC comb filter with enhanced pulse response characteristics.

: • A Beam Current Feedback circuit is built-in to make corrections for monitor white balance drift. Whit balance on monitors without beam current feedback tends to drift during continuous use over long periods of time.

: • Analog/Digital Connections

: • The PVM-14M2U is equipped with component (Y/R-Y/B-Y), RGB, Y/C and composite analog loopthrough connections.

: • The optional BKM-101C (video) and BKM-102 (audio) boards allows the PVM-14M2U to accept component serial digital (SDI SMPTE 259M).

: • An external sync signal can be accepted for synchronization with other equipment.

: • The PVM-14M2U will automatically switch, to accept NTSC, PAL, SECAM, or NTSC4.43 worldwide color systems.

: • A caption vision (closed caption) decoder is built-in.

: • Operational Functions

: • The aspect ratio of the PVM-14M2U can be switched between a 4:3 aspect and a 16:9 aspect ratio, by pushing a single button on the front panel.

: • The color temperature of the monitor can be changed to match the surrounding environments ambiant light. Color temperature can be changed to D65, D93 or user preset (3200K to 10000K).

: • A Blue Gun Only mode is built-in to allow chroma/phase adjustments to be made easily and quickly.

: • Underscan allows the entire active picture area to be displayed. This allows the operator to view and check the pictures edges.
The H/V Delay feature displays the blanking area and sync/burst signal by displaying the horizontal and vertical intervals.

: • Every time the monitor is turned on, the CRT is automatically degaussed. The monitor can be also be manually degaussed at any time.

: • Other Features

: • A multi-language menu system is provided for a variety of setting parameters.

: • Parallel remote control and Tally can be operated via a 20-pin connector.

: • The monitor can be controlled from a remote serial device, by installing the optional BKM-103 RS-422 kit.

: • In the Sub-control mode the adjustable range of the Contrast, Brightness, Chroma and Phase can be shifted. A particular level can be set for the detent position, so that multiple monitors can be set to the same reference.

: • The monitor is shielded with VLF (Very Low Frequency) operation in order to minimize the magnetic field emission.

: • Can be rackmounted in a standard 19-inch EIA rack with the optional MB-502B rack mounting bracket and the SLR-102 slide rail kit.
