The Olympus Stylus 1040 Digital Camera is a versatile, pocket-size camera with an impressive 3x zoom . Yet even with this great zoom capability and a 10.1 Megapixel resolution the Stylus 1040 is still less than one inch thick - making it the perfect camera to carry around and use while traveling, at parties, or at family events. The camera also incorporates Olympus' exclusive Dual Image Stabilization - the combination of Sensor-Shift Image Stabilization and Digital Image Stabilization, to capture crisp, clear images in any situation.

The Stylus 1040 Digital Camera showcases some of the latest technological developments from Olympus that make shooting both easy and fun. The Face Detection technology built into the camera automatically tracks faces and adjusts focus and exposure for sharp, brilliant portrait pictures. Additionally, the exclusive Shadow adjustment technology brings out the details in shadows to overcome difficult lighting situations to produce sharper, more true-to-life images. The 2.7" HyperCrystal II LCD Display of the Stylus 1040 has improved contrast and color reproduction, and offers a more accurate and precise image display, as well as an extra-wide viewing angle and increased visibility in direct sunlight.
