A very high quality 4 x 4" gelatin filter holder, this fits all lenses which accept 72mm threaded filters, though with lenses with focal lengths shorter than 24mm it is not recommended due to the possibility of vignetting. There's nothing fussy here, no little secondary metal frames to shoehorn in and out of the device; merely leave your filter in its originally-supplied paper casing and use tweezers(or, quite carefully, your fingers placed only upon the filter's corner) to take it from its case to the confines within the gel filter holder.
When using a polarizer filter in combination with gelatin filters, it is necessary that the polarizer be in front of the gelatin(away from the film/image sensor). The Technical Gelatin Filter Holder has a 82mm female threading upon the front, meant to accept 82mm polarizers(three listed here as accessories, be sure to select a circular polarizer for autofocus cameras and certain sophisticated manual focus cameras), other filters and hoods.
Included in the package is a metal screw-in lens hood meant exclusively for use with telephoto lenses(longer than 80mm in the conventional 35mm format). If you wish to use a lens hood with shorter focal length lenses, you'll have to acquire a different 82mm screw-in hood such as those listed here as accessories.
