The Tannoy REVEAL 6D is a professional active bi-amplified nearfield studio monitor, sold as a pair, offering a trendy hybrid design with both balanced analog and SPDIF digital connectivity, a rigid minimum-diffraction cabinet construction and speaker recessing, and Tannoy's proprietary WideBand technology tweeter design.
The performance of the REVEAL 6D is enhanced by the HF driver, which extends the frequency reproduction of the speaker up to an airy 51 kHz, with maximized phase correction and preservation of harmonic content, while stabilizing and widening the stereo image.
The REVEAL 6D is a unique competitor in a crowded marketplace, and a worthy solution for critical monitoring and mixing in professional and project recording studio, or A/V and Broadcast environments.
Unique Speaker and Cabinet Design
- Biamplified nearfield monitor with 110 Watts total power and proprietary Wideband tweeter design with extended HF reproduction
- 6" driver with aluminum flux control rings around the voice coils, copper caps on pole pieces; linearises the voice coil motional impedance to reduce non linear (3rd order) distortion products for greater low end clarity
- WideBand tweeter extends amplitude response beyond 20kHz audibility to 50kHz, corrects the phase response from 8kHz to 20kHz for optimized stereo imaging and preservation of harmonic structure
- MDF sculpted baffle and cabinet construction for minimized diffraction, internal bracing for tighter bass response and midrange clarity
Analog and Digital Connectivity
- Balanced XLR/1/4" combination analog and Coaxial SPDIF digital inputs with dedicated selector switch; digital out for slaving additional stereo pair
- 3-way switch selects channel of the SPDIF stream for decoding, marked Left/Right/Mono; all switching post 2 channel DAC
- Trim/Gain control for SPDIF input post DAC
