The Streaming Networks iRecord Pro Personal Media Recorder (Black) is the second generation of this popular recording device. The iRecord Pro features high resolution recording in 720 x 480 and 640 x 480, among other resolutions, from any analog video source. Record from your TV, VCR and other media sources directly to your iPhone, iPod touch, Blackberry, and even to a PC or Mac.
When it comes to files the iRecord Pro converts MPEG2 and MPEG1 contents to the MP4 format which is compatible with a number of portable media players. It also supports the transcoding process with PC/Mac based transcoding and standalone transcoding. When it comes to convenience factors the iRecord Pro allows for timed recording of 30, 60, 120, and 180 minutes. The iRecord Pro also features a remote control which lets you start video or audio-only recording, pause and stop recording, and set the aforementioned recording durations.

- Records from any analog video source including DVD/CD player, TV, DVR, TiVo, VCR, or any cable/satellite set-top box

- The captured contents can be previewed on the local or streamed to other computers
- iRecord Pro lets you record your music directly to your PC/Mac (MP3/AAC/WAV)
- PC/Mac recording requires an iRecord Desktop software (available free on the iRecord website)
- Remote computers can watch the streamed contents via QuickTime
- iRecord Desktop also allows you to schedule your recordings at a particular time and configure recording parameters such as bit rate, resolution, codec, etc
