The Canon F-1N (New F-1) was engineered from the ground up to be a high-quality professional-grade camera. Designed to compete with Nikon's F3, the New F-1 also offered the potential for shutter-priority AE exposure (by adding either AE Power Winder FN or AE Motor Drive FN) and the ability to change metering sensitivity (by changing to optional focusing screens). Manual metering by match-needle is precise and easy.
The Canon New F1 is compatible with the full line of Canon FD-mount manual focus lenses.
