Really Right Stuff B85-B Flash Arm

The B55-B Series flash brackets can be mounted either on conventional camera body plates or on L-plates. The most optimal choice is an L-Plate as this allows mounting to the left-hand quick release dovetail. This is particularly benefi cial when used with cameras that have a vertical grip integrated into the bottom of the camera, battery grip or power-booster. Mounting the flash bracket to the left-hand quick release dovetail affords unencumbered access to the vertical grip for off-hand portrait work.

If mounting to the left-hand quick-release dovetail on an L-plate, position the arc of the Arm over the top of the lens when the camera is in the horizontal position. For landscape/horizontal compositions, position the strobe over the lens; in this case at the mid-point of the arc. For portrait/vertical compositions, position the strobe over the lens towards the end of the arc.
