The Formatt 4x5.65" Soft Gold Enhancing 3 Schott-Desag B270 Crown Optical Glass Filter is designed to provide a high quality softening without diffusion and color split. It is intended to give a soft warm feel to any image and is particularly useful in removing facial blemishes. Its unique design enables the softening to be concentrated at a medium distance focal point, leaving the background unaffected.

Note! Soft Gold Enhancers are available in grades 1-3 with 3 having the greatest effect
- Soft gold enhancers use internal reflection to disperse light from the subject
- The use of specially developed gold platelets removes the harsh blue wavelengths from the image (yellow is the complimentary color to blue); They are suspended in a matrix which is tinted with a unique enhancer, adsorbing the harsh short wavelengths and transmitting the warmer, longer wavelengths; The light reflected from the platelets bounces back from the internal boundary layer and is refracted from its normal path
- The back reflection off the internal filter surface produces a diffused effect through refraction which softens the image at mid focal lengths
- Derivative of the highly successful HD Soft Filter, this filter is designed and made to the traditional high Formatt standards and are suitable for High Definition work in addition to classic film and video
