The Canon F-1 (original model), introduced in 1971, was Canon's first and very successful attempt to offer a true, professional-grade 35mm SLR system camera. Designed to compete with Nikon's F2, the F-1 is a tough, all-mechanical, manual exposure camera. It accepts optional interchangeable viewfinders and focusing screens, a motordrive and of course provides a body for use with a vast array of top-quality Canon objectives.
The Canon F1 is compatible with the full line of Canon FD-mount manual focus lenses and older Canon FL lenses (with stop-down metering). There are two versions of the original F-1. This is the second version with an ASA/ISO scale that goes up to 3200.
