The Maxxum 3 is an ultra-lightweight, economical entry into the Minolta system, featuring the same great built-in wireless TTL flash shared by the more expensive Maxxum cameras. It has a very simple control layout, and it can be essentially used as a point & shoot camera with the Programmed Modes.
The wireless/remote flash function gives even more control over flash photography by allowing multiple off-camera Minolta flash units to be fired simultaneously by the camera without the need for cables. Minolta 5600HS(D) & 3600HS(D) flash units can be placed around the subject to create attractive side-lighting. By using the built-in flash, the camera controls the output of the off-camera flash units for perfect exposures.
