The Bogen Communications NEAR Rock Landscape Speaker (Sandstone) is perfect for use in outdoor settings such as gardens or recreational areas. Play music, ambient noise or other audio to enhance the scene without detracting from it. The R8ST is weatherproof and can be used even in harsh outdoor environments such as extreme heat or cold, wind, rain, ice, snow, sleet, sun or salt spray.
This 2-way speaker system provides, rich, full-bodied sound with ultra-low distortion. NEAR's own technology sets these speakers apart; the MDT (Metal Diaphragm Technology) replaces the old paper and plastic speaker cones and provides improved phase response and musical accuracy. In addition the MLS (Magnetic Liquid Suspension) guides the speaker's voice coil.
- The R8ST speaker is a weatherproof system that stands up to extreme climates such as heat, cold, wind, rain, ice, snow, sleet, sun or salt spray.
- This rock speaker is durable and natural looking, blending into any natural setting, such as gardens.
- Metal Diaphragm Technology replaces the paper and plastic that is usually used for speaker cones. The MDT is light and sturdy, offering a much better phase response and musical accuracy.
- Magnetic Liquid Suspension (MLS) guards the speaker's voice coil as it travels through the magnetic field. The MLS seals the magnet against moisture and improves the bass response and centering force.
