Ikegami MA-400 Camera Control Unit with Control Panel

The Ikegami MA-400CP is the CCU Multi-core Base Station that has the control knobs and switches on its front panel. In addition to video parameter set-up capability, the CCU also provides teleprompter, intercom and return video features up to about 1000 feet. The unit works with HL and HC series cameras and camcorders. SDI video output is optional with the SDI-400 module. An alternate model, the MA-400 has the same functionality but requires a separate control panel which can be remotely placed.

Complete Studio Camera Control Functions
From up to about 1000 feet (300 meters) the MA-400 will connect to HL and HC cameras and camcorders via a slim and flexible multi-core cable. The multi-core cable provides video parameter control, program audio, tally lights, return video function, studio communications and even teleprompter signals. The multi-core cable can be identified by the MCC- prefix.
Scene Files
When camera settings are to be memorized for future recall the MA-400 can access these settings. Scene files memorized to the camera's menu memory can be recalled with a simple switch on the control panel.
Ultimate Video Quality
When a Multi-core studio system is built around the MA-400 superior Analog Component video or RGB plus sync VBS signals is transmitted. Component 26-pin output can then be output to a VTR or a non-linear system for retaining video quality.
Serial Digital Output
This base station can be equipped to output uncompressed SDI signals with an optional module, the SDI-400. This output can be used to relay video to a digital tape recorder or directly to a computer hard drive recording station.
Cable Length Compensation
The MA-400 can compensate return video and teleprompter signals based upon the length of the cable being used. The high frequencies of component video is also boosted depending on cable length. Circuitry for cable runs from 10 meters to 300 meters can be selected.
