The Rebel 2000 offers a new exterior design, a 7-point wide-area autofocus system (made possible with the use of a CMOS sensor); and a revamped focusing algorithm that increases AF speed and improves automatic focusing point selection accuracy. Other enhanced features include evaluative metering with a 35-zone AE sensor linked to each focusing point, and an exclusive E-TTL autoflash system also linked to the 7 focusing points.
Standard features now available in the Rebel 2000 include depth-of-field preview, faster film advance and midroll rewind. The new Rebel 2000 takes 35mm photography to a higher level while expanding on the user-friendly design, versatility and highly attractive balance of price and performance that have made the EOS Rebel so popular.
