The R8 is the current Leica SLR, a remarkable camera that's a completely new development & a timely interpretation of their classical values. Meeting the demands of discerning photographers, it combines the virtues of high-performance lenses ranging from 15mm to 800mm with a camera capable of shooting in the most inclement weather conditions.

- Flash sync up to 1/250th second with option of first or second curtain sync when using a dedicated flash
- TTL (through the lens) flash metering capability with the optional Leica SF20 compact flash unit and other SCA-3000 compatible flash units when combined with an SCA-3501 adapter
