The General Electric Power over Ethernet Injector (Mid-span) is used to inject 802.3af PoE into a CAT5 cable and allows the cable between the injector and splitter to simultaneously transfer data and power up to a distance of 328’ (100 m). It provides DC 48 V power over RJ-45 Ethernet cable to device with Ethernet port.
With auto-detection of PoE IEEE 802.3af equipment, the PoE Injector protects devices from being damaged by incorrect installation. It has LED indicators for power input and is compatible with EIA568, category 5, 4-pair cables for 10Base-T or 100Base-TX.
