The Inspiron 17R i17R-7626DBK 17.3" Notebook Computer (Black) from Dell is a full-featured notebook computer that allows you to switch out its cover to suit your style. This notebook utilizes a glossy, wide-screen 17.3" display with a native resolution of 1600 x 9000. It is backlit by an energy-efficient LED lamp, and boasts Dell's TrueLife technology. Built-in support for Bluetooth peripherals and 802.11n Wi-Fi networks make it easy to stay connected without wires.
The system supports Intel's Wireless Display (Wi-Di) system. This allows you to transmit video to an HDTV without having to connect a cable between it and your computer. You'll need an HDTV and a separately sold adapter that will accept material streamed from your computer.
The system is powered by a dual-core 2.1GHz Intel Core i3-2310M CPU and handles all of your visual-related needs with the integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000. Beyond the processor and graphics, this system is loaded with 4GB of RAM, a 500GB 5400rpm SATA hard drive, and a 8x-speed CD/DVD burner that supports Dual Layer DVD±R. A 1MP webcam as well as a digital microphone are built-in for online video chat. For audio, the computer features a pair of speakers and a subwoofer. The computer is protected from viruses thanks to a 30-day trial version of McAfee Security Center. Microsoft Office Starter 2010 is installed for productivity, and Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.
