The XPS 15z X15Z-7500ELS 15.6" Notebook Computer (Elemental Silver) from Dell is a 15.6" notebook computer with a slim design and an anodized aluminum body. Its 15.6" display features a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, which has native support for 1080p HD video playback. It is backlit by energy-efficient LED lamps and boasts Dell's TrueLife technology. Built-in support for Bluetooth peripherals and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi networks make it easy to stay connected without the hassle of wires.
The system supports Intel's Wireless Display (Wi-Di) system. This allows you transmit video to an HDTV without having to connect a cable between it and your computer. You'll need an HDTV and a separately sold adapter that will accept material streamed from your computer.
The system is powered by a dual-core 2.3GHz Intel Core i5-2410M processor, which can be overclocked to 2.9GHz via Turbo Boost technology. It is loaded with 6GB of DDR3 RAM, a 750GB 7200rpm SATA hard drive, a dedicated high-powered NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M GPU with 2GB of its own memory, and an 8x-speed SuperMulti DVD burner. A 1.3MP webcam is integrated for online video chat and the computer is protected from viruses thanks to a 30-day trial version of McAfee Security Center. Microsoft Office Starter 2010 is installed for productivity and Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) is the installed operating system.
