The Sony Signature VAIO SA2 VPCSA2SGX/T 13.3" Notebook Computer is a compact notebook computer with a LED backlit 13.3" display. LED technology provides more even light than traditional CCFL technology. It is also much greener than CCFL, as LED backlights are free of mercury and other environmental toxins and consume less power. The computer can operate for up to an amazing 16 hours per charge at default brightness settings when using the included external sheet battery.
The VAIO features a 16:9 aspect ratio screen with a 1600 x 900 native resolution, greater than that of 720p video. A Blu-ray drive is included for HD disc playback. It can also read and write CDs and DVDs. The system is loaded with Sony's Media Gallery software, which makes it easy to organize all of your digital media. Vegas video editing software is also included.
The computer supports Intel's Wireless Display technology, which allows you to connect to an HDTV wirelessly. You'll need the optional Netgear Push2TV accessory to utilize this technology. For wired connectivity to an HDTV, the notebook features an HDMI output.
The system is powered by a dual-core 2.7GHz Intel Core i7-2620M, which can be overclocked to 3.4GHz via Intel Turbo Boost. It is loaded with 4GB of RAM, a 256GB SSD storage drive, dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, mobile broadband, an integrated webcam and microphone, a fingerprint reader, a TPM security module, and a memory card reader. Graphics are handled by the hybrid AMD Radeon HD 6630M with 1GB of memory -- it can operate in discrete mode for superior performance, or in integrated mode for better battery life. Windows 7 Professional with Service Pack 1 (64-bit) is the installed operating system.

Comments about Sony Signature VAIO SA2 VPCSA2SGX/T 13.3" Notebook Computer (Burnished Brown):
I had been cursing my Vaio Z for ages, not itself really but its unstable OS, so I was looking for a stable replacement which had really high end speed and graphics for CAD and Video processing but had enough portability and battery life for extended travel. I considered a MAC book pro but it required a high learning curve and was bulky.
I have had the Vaio SA for 2 months now and I can say that I am very pleased with the extensive range of inbuilt facilities and IO, its hardware build quality in general and so far Win 7 seems as stable as XP albeit not as slick as Mac OS but perfectly acceptable.
I have the optional sheet battery and battery life is good for trans pacific flights.
On the Cons side the lid hinge feels a bit floppy but seems to work quite OK. The Screen viewing angle may not be as wide as others but is only ever noticed when viewed by a group. Its low sheen however makes it perfectly viewable even in full sunlight.
I do find the low and wide screen aspect ratio provides less viewable area and subsequently smaller fonts. This is no hassle for the younger generation but Being of the more mature age group I find myself straining on some applications.
Overall I believe this product with the SSD drives and I7 processor and an optional Sheet battery provides the best package of professional power balanced with weight and battery life available today (Dec 2011)

Comments about Sony Signature VAIO SA2 VPCSA2SGX/T 13.3" Notebook Computer (Burnished Brown):
Aesthetically pleasing and fast. For the amount of money, it should come with full 8Gb RAM not 4. I bought a 4Gb stick (G.Skill - very cheap) and installed it myself so now it's great. Very easy to do - just open the cover housing the battery. RAM slot is in the upper left area of this section. Computer is very fast, as advertised. The normal working CPU and GPU temps range from 50-60 degrees. If I play a game such as Counter Strike: Source at highest settings, temps reach over 90. Fan noise is quite noticeable. Battery life is not as high as advertised. Watching a Blu-Ray at highest settings and full brightness, without the extended sheet battery would give ~2.5-3h of run time. Webcam is very bad (grainy, image looks black&white). Keyboard is a pleasure to work with. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, just wish it ran cooler so I wouldn't have to worry about the heating and the fan noise.
