The Ear Force PX3 Programmable Wireless Gaming Headset from Turtle Beach is a serious, high-performance, feature-packed gaming headset. It comes with a transmitter that can connect with your PS3, Xbox 360, or your computer and wirelessly stream audio to the headset within a range of 30 feet. The headset features two circumaural ear cups that contain two 50mm neodymium drivers. It also features a built-in condenser microphone with an adjustable boom. To manage your sound, the headset has a mic mute, chat volume, and gaming volume controls. It also utilizes a number of technologies for enhancing your gaming experience, such as Digital Signal Processing, Chat Boost, Microphone Monitoring, Sonic Silencers, Ear Guard with Blast Limiter, Sonic Lens, and Sound Field Expander.
Most notably in terms of these technologies, you will have at your disposal eighteen different presets that you can use with the headset. These different presets are similar to EQs, which allow you to amplify certain sounds within games, such as footsteps. The presets are good for giving you the competitive edge or for just enhancing the sound in your game. You can also download additional presets from the Turtle Beach website.
The headset recharges via USB and can provide more than 10 hours of uninterrupted game play when fully charged. The transmitter supports HDMI and composite video display connections with your Xbox 360 and PS3, and it supports wired or wireless connections with your Mac or Windows computer.
