The Nimar 24 W 12 V HID Video Light with Arm is a wide-beam underwater video light equal to a 75 W halogen light. It is depth rated to 330' (100 m). The 4.5 Ah capacity NiMH rechargeable battery (included) provides 45 min of burn time and attaches to the bottom of Nimar's polycarbonate underwater camera housings via the included battery bracket. The included dual voltage 110 / 220 V battery charger is convenient for traveling. The articulated arm, also included, allows for perfect placement of the light and is easy to adjust. The on / off switch is positioned directly on the hand grip, with a security block to keep it from being accidentally turned on.
The ocean acts as a large blue filter. As you descend underwater, the reds and oranges quickly become muted shades of blue and gray. Shining a color corrected light source such as this HID on your subject will bring back its natural colors, giving you more accurate, color-rich images.
