Pearstone DWL-2 Universal Tripod Dolly
The Pearstone DWL-2 Universal Tripod Dolly presents a simple, affordable way to put your tripod on wheels. The dolly features 2" ball-bearing metal/rubber wheels that feature revolving assemblies. That means you can steer your tripod along any line imaginable to capture a smooth tracking shot.
The DWL-2 dolly bears loads up to 33 lb and features adjustable clamps to lock just about any size of tripod foot into place securely. Mounting a tripod is easy: Just line up each tripod foot and twist the thumb screws to tighten each clamp.
Each leg bar extends up to 4.9" to accommodate tripods of various dimensions, and flip locks secure the extension. Fully extended, the dolly has a doorway width of 31". With step-on locks for each wheel, you can easily transform your rolling tripod into a sturdy lock-down mount for your camera.
Two of the legs fold down to create a compact package for transport – the dolly folds down to just 17 x 5". The DWL-2 dolly is excellent for executing tracking shots in the studio or in the field, for just about any video project.

Use this for commercial production mainly. Easy to operate and understand. Works with every tripod I own. Good secure locks for the feet. I like the adjustable spread for taller tripods. I work where the temperatures reach -40 F, and so appreciiate the fact that the wheel locks are metal, not plastic. Plastic snapps at those temps. Most affordable dollys could be smoother, snd this is no exception. But this is wonderfully smooth when you consider the low price. Like the convenient travelling bags.

This is a very versatile dolly, fitting a wide variety of tripods. Size adjustments are quickly made, and it rolls tremendously smoothly; obviously irregular surfaces will challenge any dolly with non-inflatable tires. It packs up nicely into its small case, so it's easy to transport. It is a great value with excellent functionality for me, as an advanced amateur.

Bought the dolly with the Pearstone tripod. Quick and easy to set-up and use. Complements the tripod quite nicely. Worked well with my shoots!Packing it was easy as well, and I love the little carrying case it came with. I wish they made another model with slightly larger wheels, then it would be perfect! I use this product w/a Pearstone tripod--locks into place very quickly and securely--to shoot DSLR video. The caster wheels are basically fine (they roll), though eventually I may buy slightly larger, nicer ones--seems like they would be fairly easy to replace. All in all, feels sturdy, not too heavy, easy to adjust.
For a photographer or videographer who wants to save some energy moving around between static tripod shots, this is fantastic. The locks are perfectly functional (just watch your hands when unlocking, they can be a little sticky).
For executing tracking shots/using the dolly while shooting video, it's a little touchier--I ended up buying a large sheet of masonite to put down as a surface to roll around on. So depending on the smoothness of your terrain and how technically crisp a shot you need, this could be the best alternative to shelling out more $$ for a track system or a slider.
Overall, impressed for the price point.

This dolly works great with my Dolica Proline 60" Carbon Fiber Tripod. It allows me to roll my dolly around with ease especially when I have the 5DII paired with the 70-200mm on the tripod. The wheels secure tightly when needed and there is absolutely no moments whatsoever. Love this product for its great price.

This is a very good dolly for the price. I have had a few problems with the wheels, but I suspect that would be the same on any wheel based dolly. If you have the money, get a track based system, but if not this will do.

I purchased this product ahead of a wedding I was filming. I received it quickly and tested it out on the wood floors in my home. Smooth as silk!
Made for some beautiful trucking shots.
Unfortunately, when I arrived at the event, it was mostly rough carpet. There was a dance floor, so I did some trucking shots on the dance floor. Again, beautiful shots... until you hit one of the seems in the dance floor.
Product will work great if you have a smooth surface to roll it on. No dolly will work good on rough surfaces.
I would recommend if you need a dolly though!

Using the dolly with a number of different tripods for shooting athletic biomechanics video footage. Very helpful for following along the action on a smooth surface.
If I had to make any changes, I would ask for larger diameter wheels, but the dolly worked fine for the project I chose (smooth gym surface).
